At Shutter Monkey Studios we capture great moments of your kids today. Sports

We do fantastic team photos. Some parents have said they forgo the school portraits and send little Jane’s soccer picture out to Grandma and the Aunties in their Christmas cards. We hear “That’s the best picture we have of Bobby!” about our sports pictures. We take action shots at the games. We capture the spirit of the game for you and your kids. Shots of missed balls. Shots of smiles and laughter. Shots of high-fives and hugs right along with those home runs and touchdowns. The pictures are posted on our site within 24 hours after the game. Check out the Gallery tab to see some of our action shots! The Online Order tab is where you will see all of the shots taken and you can order what you like. If you have an idea of something you’d like to see and it’s not offered online, shoot us an email and we’ll see what we can do.

 

Schools

Yes! We are expanding to schools! Several of you parents have asked for this and now we’re ready to do it. We’ve had training from some of the best school photographers in the country. These photographers have been in the school photography business for 20+ years and really know their stuff. We’ve attended the School Photography Association of California (SPAC) conference and met some truly wonderful vendors offering very cool products and services. We can now confidently offer all schools any service they should need, including year books, photo strips, data CD, the Security CD for the local police station in case of missing kids, even homework folders and bar-coded (or not) ID cards. We have a green screen and so can offer various backgrounds suitable for any occasion – school photos, dances, spring portraits, and more! Quite often, schools will receive a higher commission from us than from that huge corporation because our commissions are honestly calculated. Yes, we do school dances. Yes, we do graduations – both the grad portraits and photos of the graduates (or promotees) walking across the stage, receiving their certificate. What sets us apart from those huge corporations is the fact that we use real photographers who really love taking the fun pictures of kids.

 

Shelli Byers – Owner~ Photographer

A Cloverdale resident for over 20 years and a photographer from the age of 10, she used her mother’s 110 film camera at family gatherings. Shelli has taken several photography classes over the years, studying portraits, still-life, nature, food and even hanging out the window of an airplane doing aerial shots. While she can be a bit shy, she is always drawn to photographing people – especially the kids and their care-free attitude.

 

Jude Gibson – Business manager~ Web Designer

Behind every good business is a fantastic manager and Jude is one of the best. She handles all of those back office tasks like bookkeeping (thank goodness!) and order handling and collections (watch out!). She’s done our website design and is responsible for our fantastic newsletter as well.

 

Christina Elwell – Poser

Photo day could not happen without Christina. She gets the group of kids organized, lines them up, posed and smiling for the best picture possible. She also collects Shelli when she wanders off to take extra shots of an especially enduring child, brings her back to the next group and makes sure the group is finished on time.
